Jason Barnard: We all have multiple facets. You’ve got a passion project, you’ve got a business, you’ve got a podcast. You need to help the machines understand which is the one they should be focusing on. If you want them to bring the right people to your door, they need to know which one to focus on. If you want them to represent you primarily as a business person,
you need to educate them that the passion project exists and it’s you, but it’s secondary.

And as you rightly said, that depends on how you present these things on your website and how much they’re prioritized on your website and then how they’re prioritized in the digital ecosystem, your digital footprint around the world. So, yes, give them the right focus and we come right back to the beginning.

So I set about changing Google’s perception of me to become a digital marketer. And in the last twelve years I’ve developed this very simple process, obviously going along a very complex route with lots of mishaps and problems and mistakes to figure out in this immensely complex world, how do I create a system that is very simple, that anybody can implement, that allows them to take control and get self determination in an AI world. And I’ve done it.
