If you’re going to get data, you need to have these things tracked. A lot of clients that I’ve seen just don’t track any of this stuff, they kind of play potluck.
Yes. Unfortunately, people always say. What’s the thing that people should be tracking and they’re not, and unfortunately that is the answer. “The Goal”.
They’re not tracking the goal because you can go set up Google Analytics. When you create a Facebook page, it starts collecting analytics for you. Twitter starts collecting analytics for you. But to actually track the goals. You have to do the extra step. A lot of people either don’t know how to do it, or they forget about it or they just don’t go the extra step. Then they have all this data and really no decision-making power because you don’t know what actually led to the conversion. Just really curious and it’s nothing really to do with this.
