The first thing is you need to be very clear what it is you’re going to say. So that’s sit down. Decide what our bio is going to be. Decide what your focus is going to be. Decide which photos you’re going to use across our digital footprint. Then once you’ve done that, it will take you a week, let’s say, to go around all the sources
that currently exist and correct them all. Change the photo, change the text to make sure that it is all consistent with your entity home, your own web website. Maybe between a week and a month, depending on how much time you’ve got. It takes a lot of time.
So to do a typical digital footprint like that at Kalicube, when we serve our clients, we spend a month with them doing it. Once we’ve finished that, we need to give the machine the time to find the content, digest it, understand it, and then it will start to replicate what it is you’ve been saying to it from the start. So you’ve got a month of preparation from your part, putting it all in place a month for the machine to find and digest the content. And then a month for it to start showing what you want it to show. So three months to get to a point where you can feel, yeah, the machine is starting to understand, it’s starting to represent me the way I want, but that element of trust and love that we were talking about earlier on takes longer to build.
So overall, you’re looking at a year, perhaps two years before the machine truly understands you, likes you and trusts you. So we have clients who come along and say, after a year, this should be perfect. And they go away and it all goes horribly wrong because they stop being consistent over the web as they grow their own personal brand and the machine gets confused. And suddenly it drops everything. It will suddenly give the wrong result. It will say something that isn’t true in the Knowledge Panel. It might rank the wrong website.
Another company than your company, for example. And that’s the mistake of thinking that after a year, the machine knows, likes and trusts you.
