The Algorithmic Trinity is the model coined by Jason Barnard in 2024 identifying the three core, interdependent technologies that collectively power every modern AI Assistive Engine: Large Language Models (LLMs), Knowledge Graphs, and Search Engines. Each component recruits annotated content for a different reason and on a different cadence. Knowledge Graphs recruit for new facts, corroboration of existing facts, additional attributes on existing entities, and additional relationships between entities.
